Pinewood Escapes is in Fairfield, New Brunswick, just 20 minutes past the Saint John Airport. Once on the property, we are only 10 minutes to the village of St Martins and the Fundy Coast.

Our Forest Cottage on the Lake is a two bedroom home with a pull out couch in the living room that comfortably sleeps six. With a full kitchen and large dining table, board games and hammocks families often stay to enjoy this space!

Each rental has their own, private hot tub available to use throughout your stay, even during the winter months.

The village of St Martins has a small grocery store, Huttges, that has a butcher, produce and a good amount of general food staples. The XTR gas station serves as the local liquor store and is open year round.

We are located on 23 acres in the woods on the lake, which means in addition to the sounds of bullfrogs and sightings of rabbits you will find some black flies/mosquitos, usually just during the months of May and June. We recommend bringing your favourite bug spray, particularly for the evenings in the spring if you plan on exploring the nature around you.

We have completely rebuilt all our rental spaces from the ground up over the last year, which includes a brand new fresh water well. Don’t let the rugged forest surroundings fool you. Inside you’ll be transported to a fresh, bright space with full amenities and luxury touches!

We have plans to build more rentals on the property in the future that can welcome all your furry friends, however our current spaces are not suitable for pets.

>While not very deep, our fresh water lake is clean, refreshing and the perfect place to swim on hot summer days. If you don’t like a squishy bottom, we recommend bringing water shoes! We also have a stand up paddle board and kayaks you are free to use during your stay with us.

While we don’t provide fishing gear, you are welcome to bring some with you to fish provided you don’t use barbed hooks and release any back that you don’t plan on eating while you are on the property.

We love our coastal village and have lists of our favourite places in all our units. We are also happy to chat before or during your stay to help you find exactly what you are looking for. The best hiking spots for your experience level, sightseeing, places to eat… we’ve got you!

Our property is intended to be a peaceful place for folks to rest and recharge. You are welcome to sip wine in the hot tub till dawn, provided our quiet time of 10pm is respected. We don’t allow parties or guests other than those booked unless otherwise approved. We are selective in who we welcome onto our property, which means all these “house rules” must be agreed to before booking.
